Photo Transfer App allows you to quickly download and upload photos & videos between your iPhone/iTouch/iPad and your Windows PC over Wi-Fi. Photo Transfer App for Windows Free DOWNLOAD.
Wi-Fi Photo Transfer is a free app that makes it insanely simple to download photos from your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.
We've been using iPhoto, jailbreak tweaks, and Image Capture to download photos to our computer. None of these methods are as quick, as painless, or as wireless as Wi-Fi Photo Transfer.
There isn't a single setting to alter once you download the app.
It works by making the photos folder on your device (DCIM, if you're an iOS explorer) visible from your computer's web browser so you can download photos straight to your computer. Your computer and device must be on the same Wi-Fi network for this to work.
You can view all your photos in a convenient thumbnail view to select multiple items, or you can download them one by one (in various sizes, too).
This free app is a can't-miss. In fact, we used it to download the screen-grabs for this very post you're reading now.
Price: free from the App Store (universal app)
NOTE: if you're downloading screen captures or videos you've taken on your iDevice, this app mislabels them as JPG so you get an error trying to open them in Photoshop and other applications. Once you download the screen captures or videos, change the JPG extension to PNG or MOV (videos) in the file name and you'll be all set. This note is only for iDevice screen captures, achieved by holding down the Home button and Sleep button simultaneously for a second, and for videos shot on your iPhone.
Thanks to Bruce Tognazzini for pointing out that videos are mislabeled as JPGs, as well as screen captures.
( Via App Storm)
Download the free app and tap to launch it. Tap 'Allow' when it asks for your current location. The app never 'uses' your current location, but needs this permission to download location data for your photos.
You're all done. Open your web browser and type the IP address you see in this app into your browser's URL address bar.
Once the page loads, you'll see a list of the 'Libraries' present on your iDevice. Click 'Camera Roll' or another library to open it.
Click an image to view it and download one at a time, or click 'Download in .zip' to download several files at once. One note: if you download images one by one, you'll lose metadata like geo-location info. It's probably better to download each file as a Zip anyway.
This is what you'll see when you click a single image. You can choose to download the image in various sizes, which is very convenient. Like we mentioned before, if you download an image this way, you'll lose location info.
If you click 'Download in .zip,' check the boxes of the images you want to download, or plug a number range into the boxes to select many images. Then click 'Download selected' and your download will begin.
Now that you've learned how to easily download photos from your iDevice....

Didn't work the way I was hoping
So I got this app because I wanted to transfer some videos from my Google drive to my photos so I could edit them iMovie. The only problem was they wouldn't show up when I went to the folder they were located in. So then I decided I would install the application for my PC and transfer them that way. Turns out that didn't work either so I then assumed that the reason they wouldn't transfer is because the file name extension was wmv. So now at the moment of writing this review I am C meeting these files from wmv to MP4 so I can finally transfer them to my iPhone because the video recordings on my phone are MP4 so I believe that this will finally work because this entire process I have been doing has taken two days and probably going to take a third of this doesn't work. So that is why I am rating this app the three Stars. Please respond to this and tell of any ways I could've avoided the hassle I went through, such as reading the description of the app. If you can prove to me this is an user error and that this is my fault for not paying attention, I will change my review (if I remember that I wrote it) to five Stars. Thank you for reading
Developer Response,
Hi. Sorry to hear you are having problems with the app. Unfortunately the format wmv (windows media video) is not directly compatible with Apple devices, that is why you would have to convert to mp4 before transferring to your iOS device using our app. There are a few free good tools to convert video formats easily. Please contact us and we will be happy to help! [email protected]
Best system on the market so far, still needs some work.
With multiple previous iPhones full of pictures and my current one slammed full as well, I needed and efficient method of transfer. I purchased an eReader for about $15 that never wanted to work, so paying for the full version of this app was a no brainer. I transferred from a 4, 5s, 5c, and 6, to a flash drive on Windows 8. It struggled some with my mass of pictures and the back up/save & delete feature never worked for me, but overall still performed mostly as advertised. Both apps were easily accessible and communicated well with each other. My main complaint is that use of the app is locked to one specific Apple ID instead of a log-in based system. I have used and created several IDs over the years but can not use the app I paid for to transfer from those. The ability to provide proof of paid full access and use on other devices would have bumped me to 5 stars, even with the issues I ran into. (Considering it could've been user error, of course.) Overall satisfied and would (and have) recommend.
The more I use it, the more I like it
[Here it is 2019 and I’m still happily using this app. The latest spectacular find is this: On the road I transfer RAW photos from my cameras to an iPad. If I use iCloud to later move them to my desktop PC, Apple first converts them to JPEGs. This app, however, down loads the RAW file. Bravo!] [Update for latest v 5.0 - new feature to allow deleting photos on iPhone and iPad makes this app spectacular!] I hardly ever give five stars to anything. As said in my title, the more I use the app the more I like it. I transfer to-and-from a PC running Win7 Pro using the Photo Transfer App for PCs. It's seamless. It even backs up single or multiple folders to the PC. It does such a good job of looking inside iPad photo folders, that I wish it could act as a file manager so I could delete garbage photos that have accumulate easily from my desktop. [WISH LIST!] .... Since my previous review (above) I still can't find anything wrong. How often can u say that in life? ..... The app keeps asking me to rate (which is getting annoying). This is still one of the best apps of any kind on my iPhone and iPad. It's the only 5 star I've given. (6/14)
